Bio

Colin Peppard is a director from Monaghan, Ireland, known for bold, character-driven storytelling across music videos, commercials, and short films. His recent music video for Chalk won a Shark Award for Best Rock Video, and was selected as a winner at the Shiny Award Showcase. He directed his first online commercial for CitizenM, blending surreal comedy and stylised visuals to launch the Dublin opening.

In 2023, Colin was selected by Brendan Canty and the Youth Music Video Competition (YMVC) to direct Inhaling for artist Ailbhe Reddy. The video was shortlisted for the Berlin Commercial Awards 2024 and screened at DIFF 2025.

Colin was selected for the Talent Camp at the Odense International Film Festival, and his narrative work continues to gain momentum. His latest short, Mile 24, funded by the Clones Film Festival Bursary, premiered at the Fastnet Film Festival and the BIFA-qualifying Sunrise Film Festival, was shortlisted for the 1.4 Awards and named a Semi-Finalist at Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival.

Currently, Colin is shooting Muscle Bound, a boundary-pushing docufiction exploring obsession, masculinity, and the extremes of Irish bodybuilding. The project builds on his short script of the same name, which was a finalist for the BVIFF Short Film Bursary and shortlisted for the National Talent Academy’s First Credit Short Film Scheme.
